The pharmaceutical analysis postgraduate research awards 2017
The winner of the prize for the best podium presentation at the pharmaceutical analysis postgraduate research awards and careers symposium, held at the Royal Society of Chemistry on Tuesday 28th November has been announced.
The winner was Matthew C Hulme, Manchester Metropolitan University who gave a presentation on Separation and identification of polyfluorinated regioisomers using 60 MHz benchtop NMR techniques. Matthew received a certificate and a prize of 500 GBP.
The Commended podium award of 200 GBP was made to Daniel Baker, University of Hertfordshire, for his presentation on SPME: ex vivo drug distribution in tissues and organs.
The winner of the best poster award of 200 GBP was James Gooch, Kings College London, for his presentation on Fluorogenic substrates for the detection of biological fluids and fingerprints.
Commended poster awards, each of 100 GBP, were made to Ms Rhamiya Mahedran, University of Hertfordshire, for a presentation on Screening the biological activity of stilbene sulphonamide analogues and to Miss Emmanouela Kampouraki, Newcastle University, for a presentation on CYP4F2 genotype affects circulating plasma vitamin K concentration in children on chronic warfarin therapy.
The awards were presented by Professor Melissa Hanna-Brown who delivered one of the Keynote addresses to the audience of young scientists.
