Bronwyn Grout, a PhD student at The School, giving her presentation "Practical Aspects of PAT Method Transfer in the Pharmaceutical Industry" at the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies 2008 Conference in Reno, USA in October. She had previously won the Joint Pharmaceutical Analysis Group's Conference Science Award for 2006 for the best analytical oral presentation at the 2006 British Pharmaceutical Conference. This gave her up to £ 2,000 to spend on attendance at an international analytical conference of her choice and she chose to attend this FACSS Conference. The session on NIR Spectroscopy in Pharmaceutical Analysis: Technology Transfer in Action where she presented was chaired by Prof Tony Moffat (Emeritus Professor of Pharmaceutical Analysis at The School).
